Surgery for Men

Men can have cosmetic surgery for almost everything that is available for women, plus more. We treat men requesting facelifts, eyelid surgery, gynecomastia, chest/calf/chin implants, liposuction, tummy tucks, rhinoplasty.

You are always welcome to drop by and view our facility. While you're here, you can meet our staff, ask questions and even browse through some before & after photographs. As well, men can have penile lengthening and/or penile girth enhancement surgery, which has become a very popular procedure. Dr. Bowman is the only surgeon in the Pacific Northwest who performs penile cosmetic surgery. Our office is very sensitive to the privacy concerns of men, and as a result, men are constantly requesting treatment from Dr. Bowman.

Esthetic Services for Men

Men traditionally have oily skin, with large pores, which makes Microdermabrasion treatments particularly effective. This is a painless procedure and is crystal-free. It includes an initial cleansing, the Microdermabrasion, a soothing serum compress, and then finishing with a masque for that pampered feeling! There is no downtime with this treatment.

Skin Care for Men

If you are interested in an evaluation of your skin and would like some advice re skin care, or products to assist in achieving healthy skin, you may book an appointment with Janka. She will talk with you privately about the concerns you have, and can make some suggestions for you. We have products for softening lines and wrinkles, and for minimizing the effects of aging.

Makeup for Men

For those men interested in makeup, we have a superior product, Cover Fx, developed at Sunnybrook & Women's Hospital in Toronto. It will cover under-eye shadows, as well as rosacea and vitiligo. It is simple to use (no blending), is water-resistant, with a high SPF factor. It is particularly "light," and men find it excellent for both traditional and camouflage purposes. It has 39 colours in five ethnic groups. Janka will meet with you privately and help you make suitable selections for your skin tone, colour, and type.

Injectables for Men

Frown lines, smile lines, lip augmentation, and acne scars are all common area of concern for our male patients. Daniela, our nurse injector, has extensive experience with Botox, Restylane, and Hylaform and will provide expert service to you with these products. Normally no anaesthetic is required, so Daniela uses a topical anaesthetic for sensitive patients. A lip treatment may be uncomfortable and therefore the lips are usually frozen using a nerve block.

Spider Vein Treatment for Men

Sclerotherapy is the treatment of small, dilated blood vessels called spider veins. Daniela injects a solution into the vein through a micro-needle. The sclerosing solution causes the vein to blanche (turn white) and then gradually disappears.

Chemical Peels for Men

Light chemical peels are useful for men with skin conditions such fine lines, rough texture, freckles, melasma, acne and rosacea. Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid are the chemical peel agents used most often for superficial skin exfoliation.

With chemical peels, you can look for benefits such as improved skin colour and brightness, smoother texture; improvement in fine wrinkling; decreased blotchiness; enhanced benefits from the use of other skin care products, and resolution of acne. Treatments take 15-20 minutes and there is no downtime.
