Liposuction
Many of you are frustrated with being unable to remove these areas by exercise or by losing weight. People request liposuction on their hips, knees, flanks ("love handles"), thighs, stomach, and neck areas. The neck is often treated with liposuction as part of a facelift. ask questions and even browse through some before & after photographs. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
All consultations with our surgeons, our Clinical Esthetician, or our Nurse are scheduled in advance.

Liposuction is done using general anaesthetic. Using the same principle as a vacuum cleaner, unwanted fat is suctioned out through tiny incisions in your skin. It's important to keep in mind that fat is a necessary part of your body and should never be completely removed. In some situations, the technique of ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) may be an option.
Have you ever done an overly-ambitious workout? That's how you will feel after Liposuction. The medications will help you control it. You will have a fair amount of swelling and bruising which will keep you from admiring the final result for a few weeks.
After liposuction, most people can return to work and routine activities in 1 week. An additional 3 weeks is required before you resume strenuous activities, exercise and sports. In your discussion with our surgeons, your individual lifestyle will be considered.
Liposuction is real surgery. Before you decide, it's important to learn about any possible complications, even though they are rare. These will be fully explained to you during your private consultation with our surgeons. At that time, you will have an opportunity for a careful and complete discussion of your options and what is involved. You will benefit from asking all your questions and browsing through our photographs.

We have before and after photos in our office, and you'd benefit from coming to have a look at them, ahead of your consultation, if you wish. In the interests of confidentiality and privacy we don't publish them on the internet. The photos in the laser sections are provided by the manufacturer, and are not our patients.
