Titan uses an infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin's surface. During the procedure, the skin's outside surface is protected through continuous cooling from the Titan handpiece. The heat in the deeper layer stimulates long-term collagen growth.
Usually 2-3 treatments are recommended for optimal results. With each Titan pulse you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without any medication. Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both usually dissipate within a few hours.
Without significant pain or downtime, Titan can erase the years and achieve a more vibrant and overall refreshed look. This procedure is appropriate for someone who has noticed that his or her face and neck skin is not as taut as it once was, for a new mother whose tummy is not as tight and smooth as it used to be, or a patient who has experienced a significant weight loss and needs to tighten loose skin.
