Pectoral Implants

Have you ever wanted an increase in the size of your chest beyond what you could get with lifting weights?

Perhaps your “pec” muscle is absent or severely under-developed due to a birth defect

Many men feel they have insufficient pec muscle bulk despite regular exercise. Pectoral implants are placed beneath your “pec” muscle to increase their size and projection.

The surgery is done under general anesthesia and takes about an hour and a half. The incision is placed just in front of your armpit but under the border of your pectoralis muscle. It will be covered by a waterproof dressing, allowing you to shower anytime after your procedure. Any discomfort in your pec muscles can be well-controlled with medications which most men only require for a few days.

You will need to take it easy for the first 2 weeks which is the period of maximal swelling. After that, you will able to gradually increase your activity level until you’re fully healed by about 6 weeks. We will restrict any vigorous or receptive upper arm motions during this time. You will be able to return to the gym for lower body and core work by 2 weeks but upper body will have to wait 4 weeks for light return and 6 weeks for full on work-outs.

Pec Augmentation¬†is real surgery. Before you decide, it’s important to learn about any possible complications, even though they are rare. These will be fully explained to you during your private consultation with Dr. Bowman. At that time, you will have an opportunity for a careful and complete discussion of your options and what is involved. In your discussion with Dr. Bowman, your individual lifestyle will be considered. You will benefit from asking all your questions and browsing through our photographs.
